This Privacy Policy explains what information the OnaTube app and website collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We are committed to collecting as little as possible.
1. Information we collect
- A device identifier. To protect the Service from abuse, count installs, and deliver updates, the app derives a stable device identifier from Android system values (such as the DRM/Widevine ID or Android Settings ID). This is used only for anti-abuse and aggregate install analytics. It is not linked to your advertising ID and is not used to build a personal profile.
- Diagnostics. Basic technical information such as app version, Android version and error logs, used to fix crashes and improve reliability.
- Information you send us. If you use the feedback or contact form, we receive the message you write and, if you choose to provide it, your email address or WhatsApp number so we can reply.
We do not collect your name, contacts, precise location, photos, or the content of the media you download.
2. Your downloads
Files you download with OnaTube are saved directly to your device's storage. They are never uploaded to us or to any third party. We have no access to what you download.
3. Advertising
OnaTube is free and supported by ads served through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use certain data (including advertising identifiers) to show and measure ads, in line with Google's own policies. You can reset or limit ad personalisation in your Android settings under Settings → Privacy → Ads. See Google's Privacy Policy for details.
4. Push notifications
We use Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google) to send occasional notifications about updates and features. A push token is stored to deliver these. You can turn notifications off at any time in your Android app settings.
5. How we use information
- To run, maintain and secure the Service and prevent abuse.
- To fix bugs and improve performance.
- To respond to your feedback or support requests.
- To deliver update notices and, where enabled, ads.
6. Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with the service providers that make the app work — such as Google (Firebase, AdMob) — and only as needed for those services, or where required by law.
7. Permissions we request
- Storage / media access — to save your downloads and show them in the library.
- Notifications — to send update and feature notices (you can decline).
- Internet / network — to fetch and download media.
8. Data retention
Feedback messages are kept only as long as needed to handle your request. Aggregate, non-identifying analytics may be kept longer. You can ask us to delete a message you sent via the Contact page.
9. Children
OnaTube is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will remove it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted here, and the "Last updated" date will change accordingly.
